  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed (divided)
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups toasted and coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  4. Remove from heat, add in the cubed butter without stirring, and let it sit for one minute.
  5. Stir in the pecans and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Quickly drop spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet as the mixture begins to set.
  7. Allow cooling at room temperature for about 30 minutes until hardened.
