  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp red gel food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl, then stir in granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add red gel food coloring.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into the wet mixture until combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan, dollop cheesecake mixture on top, then layer with remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely before slicing.
