Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thinly
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté sliced onions and chopped green peppers until softened and golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
  2. Push vegetables to one side of the skillet and add ground beef. Cook until browned (7-10 minutes), breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce (if using). Mix well for about a minute.
  4. Preheat your oven broiler to low. Spoon the beef mixture into hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese.
  5. Broil on a baking sheet for 3-5 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Serve immediately while warm.
