- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce (jarred or homemade)
- 4 crusty sub rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape into 1-inch meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
