  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar for topping
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour for topping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8×4-inch bread pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and ginger.
  3. Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in the oil; mix until just combined.
  5. Add eggs two at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in pumpkin puree, water, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  7. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans.
  8. For the crumb topping, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a separate bowl; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle topping over both batters before baking.
  10. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to wire racks.
