Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. Boil water in a large pot with salt. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley; simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Combine the cooked linguine with the sauce in the skillet. Toss well to coat; add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Slice the chicken and mix it into the pasta.
  5. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
