  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet mixture until just mixed. Chill dough for an hour.
  3. Prepare the filling by combining softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cake flour until smooth.
  4. Roll cookie dough into balls; create a well in half of each ball for filling. Add filling and seal with the other half of the dough.
