Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry; stir into the apple mixture and cook until thickened. Allow to cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Prepare the dough: Separate biscuit dough into individual pieces and flatten each to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Assemble the bombs: Place a tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each flattened biscuit. Fold edges over filling and pinch tightly to seal.
  5. Coat: Dip each bomb in melted butter, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake: Place seam-side down on a lined baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm: Allow to cool slightly before enjoying these delicious treats!
