  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, brown sugar, butter, all-purpose flour, egg, and almond extract until combined.
  3. Roll the thawed puff pastry into an 11×11 square and cut into twenty-four 2×2 inch squares.
  4. Press each square into a mini muffin pan to form cups.
  5. Fill each cup with about 1 tablespoon of the almond mixture and top with sliced almonds.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
